No Really, he's a Fun-Gi

Welcome back, we are continuing our trend of trying new things and so this build is a bit different than normal.  I actually debated putting this mini in my kitbashing section but decided it had enough separate bits to warrant a description.  Be warned though, he's made from the extra bits of at least 3 minis and not the usual amalgamation of sticks and hot glue.  Though there is still hot glue.  So.  Consider yourself warned.  The results:

That's a mushroom man alright.  I went with some weird colors for the fungi on the ground and tried some odd looking blending on the actual mini.  I feel it was partially successful but that could be my limitations as a painter.  I definitely feel this piece would benefit from a better artist than I.

What you’ll need:
  • A spare mini or bits from several, the more plant like the better
  • Something for the head; I used a scrap bit of plastic but even hot glue would do in a pinch
  • Dollar store hot glue
  • Dollar store superglue
  • Dollar store paints
  • Basing material
Not much to explain here, as your build will depend on your bits used and will differ from mine.  Assemble your fungal monstrosity into a vaguely humanoid shape and add some weird textures however you can.  I used tiny amounts of hot glue for texture.  I also broke toothpicks into very small strips and glued them on for a wood-grain texture.  Anything to make him seem more plant-like, really.  Finally you can paint it up.  Really blend the earthen colors and consider adding some brighter, more toxic colours to give it more of a surreal feel.  Use hot glue to decorate your base with more mushrooms. Now the real problem: will he be a friendly NPC? Or a deadly encounter?
